DINNER || Homemade Hummus and Wine

My friend and I finished our last exams of our undergrad degrees and we celebrated with wine and vegetables. The picture above was our dinner! We made hummus from scratch and it was even tastier than the ones sold at the store. This is also a more environmentally-friendly and economical alternative to the store-bought hummus, considering all the packaging that goes into them (canned beans, plastic containers, etc.). The dried garbanzo beans I got were 4 dollars for a package that contains about 15 cans worth of cooked-beans. If you dump them into the slow cooker for 4 hours (best $10 investment of my life btw) - poof! You won't even notice the "added inconvenience" of not buying canned beans. On that ramble-y note, it's a perfect dinner for two if you want to recreate it. It looks like a lot of food (or not?) but we devoured everything and were quite full by the end: - 2 bell peppers - 1 cucumber - 1 carrot - Hummus dip - Yoghurt and cucumber dip - Pita bread - Olives - Feta cheese - Potato wedges - 2 fillet of halibut And wine of course! We went with fish because I was keen on having white wine. You can swap that with something else if you prefer red. I can update my blog with recipe if that's something you guys are interested in :)
