Constructivism emphasizes the significance of perception. In other words, the way in which we see the world is carefully crafted by the numerous factors that surrounds us, some recognizable and others not so easily. For example, some have already coin me as young and oblivious based on my age. Others have come up with a set of adjectives based on my gender. By associating myself with any and all labels, I am confining myself to a world that I have no control over – because that world is yours and those terms mean different things to you than it does to me. By this logic, giving you a list of words that I identify with would be irrelevant and misguiding. I don’t want your perception of me to be made by oversimplified labels, so instead of an “About Me” section, I leave it up to you to pick a blogpost or two to see a glimpse of my life and get to know me from there.
